Mark Gillespie

I am an illustrator/cartoonist/graphic designer who has been drawing for over 50 years. Having retired from my day job, I’ve spent my creative time working in both traditional and digital mediums. Whether realistic or imaginative, I try to approach each piece with the same childlike sense of wonder I had when I was drawing stick figure clowns at four years old.”
Mark Gillespie was born in southern California, but has spent the majority of his life in the Pacific Northwest. He has received awards for graphic design from the Washington Newspaper Publishers Association, Suburban Newspapers of America, and Dynamic Graphics Art Service. His cartoons and comics have been published in numerous magazines including CARtoons, Tiki Magazine, and Bachelor Pad. He currently lives in Salem, Oregon with his cat Tiki.
