Picture
The discovery of beauty is the inspiration for my art.  Exploring a wide variety of media, I pursue my own imaginative vision through developing processes which allow me to bypass some of the conscious intent involved in making art.  In this way, each painting is a fresh opportunity to discover something new.

As a professional painter of over 40 years’ experience, I have painted in many media in a wide range of sizes, exhibiting in galleries throughout the country.  After moving to Oregon from Santa Barbara, CA, the Philomath Studio Tour gives me an opportunity to share my work with the local populace.  I have paintings in my studio from several styles developed through the years, ranging in size from 6 inches to 6 feet.  There are paintings in oil, alkyd, pigment, acrylic, gouache, ink, spray paint, and oil bar on canvas, paper, Masonite and wood panel.  Many include texture, collage, or linoleum block patterns.

Especially available on display will be unique miniature paintings, fantasies and abstracted landscapes. And besides new additions to my Forest Inscape series, I have a new evolving series of pure abstractions which I call Talismen. Please visit my website for a preview of the full range of styles available during the tour.

PLEASE NOTE: On my property, I have WiFi at the house, but not in the studio where my work will be displayed.  Checks and cash are preferred for any purchases.

Leslie Tejada has exhibited in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Chicago, Dallas, Santa Fe, New York, and in other galleries across the country.  She has sold paintings to the corporate and hospitality markets, and rented many paintings to the TV and motion picture industries.  She was invited to take part in the Art in Embassies progress, and is currently a member of the National Association of Women Artists in New York City.
