Hi, I am Jennifer Deily. I am currently living in Corvallis, Oregon, but I am originally from Utah. I started my artist journey at a young age, and ultimately, I graduated from the University of Utah with a BFA in drawing and painting, where I was awarded the E.J. Bird scholarship for artistic ability in landscape and wildlife.
I work mostly in oil. Oil paint is a medium I can use in a variety of ways. I love using bold, rich color and texture to reveal the expressions, details, beauty, and sometimes humor of my subjects. When I start a painting, I look for a subject that I find interesting and explore for both the strong and subtle qualities to best tell their story.

In addition to my paintings, I recently illustrated a children’s book, which was incredibly fun to do using my art to match and enhance the animals’ characters in the story. The book also brings awareness to conservation efforts around the world. I have added my artwork to handcrafted panjos.
