Using sterling silver and copper, gemstones, shells, and wood, I design each piece to accentuate the characteristic of the organic material to make a one of a kind, unique art piece.
I’m so lucky to have parents that appreciated art and how it enriches our lives and world. I grew up in Northern California and Colorado, and now live and work in the foothills of the coast range of Oregon.
My best memories were at our cabin in the Sierras, exploring and experiencing the natural beauty. When we moved to Oregon during my high school years, I was stunned by the lush green valley, mountains and wild ocean. Another profound influence on my art were trips to the Southwest, where my father was raised. I marveled at the intricate Native American beadwork, silver jewelry, sand paintings, woven blankets, pottery, and petroglyphs. Inspired, I learned to bead on a loom, sculpt, and weld, and continue to experiment with tools, methods and mediums.
