I’ve been passionate about photography for more than 50 years. In the 70’s I minored in photojournalism at OSU, where Jim Folts was my key professor and mentor. Following my interest in theatre, dance and music I became a principal photographer for an arts and entertainment magazine called Montage. While in Graduate school at UC Irvine I contributed to local papers and worked with commercial, advertising, illustration and fashion photographers. When I returned to Oregon I did freelance work for OSU as well as commercial assignments and studio work. My current personal work focuses on vineyard and winery related subjects (owing to my profession) as well as landscapes and indigenous art and architecture of the southwestern U.S. I still shoot film and love to use mechanical equipment.
