Carrie’s style is style is color-drenched, playful, pattern-full narrative.
Painting from memory and impressions, Carrie creates paintings that are about her world, from flowers from her garden, views of local scenery, fanciful still life arrangements, or a portrait of dogs or cats on a cosy couch.
Tasman lives in the Pacific Northwest where she plies the waters of the Willamette river in her single scull, walks her dog by the on the many woodland paths, and happily paints throughout the long, rainy winters. Her award winning work is well loved, collected and commissioned worldwide. Tasman received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and printmaking at Oregon State University and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
