I was one of the early POST artists beginning the first or second year of the tour, and participated for several years thereafter. I am very happy to return to POST as a guest artist this year. A wide range of my one-of-a-kind functional and decorative ceramic work will be available. Most pieces will be out of my collection of some of the best work, held onto for years. I'll also have small abstract paintings to show.
In both clay and paint I am guided by my experience of nature. I am nourished by natural beauty. Becoming proficient in clay has laid the foundation for good craftsmanship, which underlies all my work.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Green received a B.A. in Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts from UCLA. Her study of ceramics began at age 16 and in her 20's she established Terraclay Studio in Santa Monica where she designed and produced ceramic vessels, wallpieces and sculpture for clients around the country. After relocating to Oregon in 1991 she taught ceramics at LBCC for many years. She changed her medium to acrylic painting 10 years ago. She continues to teach ceramics privately at her home studio.
