Creating art is something I use to express myself when words don't come as easily. When I paint, no matter what I am painting, I try my best to capture the emotion I feel when I am creating my piece because I believe art is truly a voice for the voiceless. My inspiration typically comes from the environment I'm surrounded with. More recently I have found myself drawn to nature and it's beauty. Acrylic paints are what I am most comfortable with, along with just a graphite pencil, but I would like to expand my horizons and maybe move into some different mediums over time. I still have a few years at Philomath and in this time I will really strive to become a better artist because no matter what there is always room for improvement.
