I have been experimenting with warm glass techniques for nearly 20 years, although art is not my area of formal education. I received my training in the sciences and have degrees in fisheries and microbiology, which I feel allows me a unique perspective both on the method and on my art. Working with glass has been an incredible experiment in which I am continually learning and reaching.

There are many ways to communicate knowledge and passion, and I do that using glass, expressing connections as a collage. Many of my pieces tell a story. Some are representative of my own experiences and tell my story. Other pieces are purely functional.
